The Courtyard Garden, Kuala Lumpur

http://courtyard-garden.com/home/

Location: Lorong Dungun, Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur
The Courtyard Garden is located at 10, Lorong Dungun, Damansara Heights, KL. Opposite KPMG, further up HP and HELP College - on the left side of the road.

Cuisine: Western

Ambience: Cozy, Comfortable

I wasn't there too much for the food, as I was invited there for a function.

Now on to the main agenda, the loo.

At first entry, you can immediately see that it looks cozy, warm and inviting (in a good way)..

Granite sinks (expensive stuff), Balinese styling and warm lighting all works very well together.

The taps ought to be given more thought though. A touch of class in the taps would bring the whole thing up more.

This is the entrance in (I'm already standing inside). Decos line the wall opposite of the wash basins. If you notice the bottom right of the picture, there is a fan. Normally they would just use an industrial floor blower to dry the floor. Here they have chose a much higher class floor fan. Kudos to that!

And finally, odour is not an issue; in fact there is none. Once again here, the porcelain could be given a bit more thought instead of a stock standard version found in normal households. Lighting is warm and cozy, in-line with the mood of the restaurant. So, moving from outside in, wouldn't give you a sudden 'lighting shock'.

Overall, I give it a 8.9/10 with area to improve on as mentioned above. I might not be comfortable doing my number two on the sub-par throne (I'd try to hold it till I get home), but I wouldn't mind 'hanging out' here if there's no other place for me to stand outside.

Duta Palms Resort - Country Homes, Rawang

Located in the clubhouse of Duta Palms Country Resort, where my family frequently go for our weekend badminton games. I decided to take a big leak, without the intention of taking pics at 1st.

After finishing my business, I took a look again, seeing the architecture's pretty unique, I decided to take a couple of images to update here.

I must say, there's the typical odour then I opened the door to the loo, nearly making me turn back out and hold it in. But, nature's call's too strong to ignore, when you've got to go, you've got to go. Upon peeking into the bowl, only to notice the previous 'visitor' did not bother to flush; and thus the reeking odour. After flushing, the smell's pretty much gone.

note: wi-fi signal does not reach to that part of the building!

The design of the place is pretty much based off the Balinese architecture.

This is the other part of the clubhouse. Where we go for our shower after games.

Equiped with lockers, but I hardly use them. Those units at the end of the room are pretty spooky, no one comes here often as it's at the very corner end of the clubhouse.

The rows of shower rooms. They once had soap dispensers, but have been taken down due to frequent vandalism cases. So, patrons are now asked to bring their own soap.

It's pretty much the same design here in the shower room's hand wash area.

I give it thumbs up for the interior design alone, but considering the cleaniness, lighting and an unkept feel of the place, dragging it down to a mere Rank 6.

Pilot Pooper

Location: MSC Headquarters, Cyberjaya

A large bland interior with adequate lighting, bright enough to do your daily business properly. Does not have foul smells, instead it's even got a timed fragrance dispenser. The fragrance does smell odd though.

There's a disinfectant dispenser for those who are mysophobic (fear of getting infected by germs) - located outside the image below.

I give it a rank 6 given the cleanliness and comfort, but not higher due to its so-so design.
